About me
Thanks for checking out my website! I’ve been playing the cello for well over a decade now, and was self taught for many years. When COVID hit, I decided that the only thing I could picture myself doing was playing cello professionally. So, I decided to take the plunge and pursue a music degree at UC Berkeley.
At Berkeley, I was incredibly fortunate to study with Jonathan Koh, my cello teacher. While I may have gotten quite far on my own, no classical musician can play to the professional standard without extensive high level training, and my time with Jonathan was beyond transformational. Another benefit of attending UCB was the wide variety of music available to be performed. I played everything from standard orchestral and chamber repertoire to new works written by Berkeley composers, Chinese music, and much more.
Since graduating in 2025, I’ve been teaching all over the Bay Area and taking gigs throughout California while I continue to hone my craft and work towards my performance aspirations. In the (very limited) time I spend away from the cello, I enjoy practicing photography with my Pentax KX, attending live concerts, and perusing art museums around San Francisco.
If you’re interested in studying the cello with me, reading my official bio, or getting in touch with me to book a performance, all of that information can be found on this site or through the convenient links below. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
