In my teaching, I focus on helping my students develop effective practice techniques and strong technical foundations. I approach teaching methodically, encouraging students to play everything at the highest level they are capable of. My goal is to give every student the necessary skills to play any music they want after completing their studies with me. 

I’ve also found that my students who learn to practice more effectively frequently find more success in other pursuits such as school or sports. Building discipline through consistent practice not only improves technique, but supplies students with an invaluable life skill.

I primarily teach privately in Dublin/Pleasanton and Saratoga/Cupertino, but am currently accepting students from all over the Bay Area.
